The Tobacco Barn

A high-peaked ceiling and exposed-log crossbeams reveal the Tobacco Barn’s past life as a place for hanging tobacco leaves to dry. Now converted to a one-room guest house, it features a front porch swing, cozy fireplace, soapstone floors, a homey sitting area, and a tall, high-post bed. The pressed-tin ceiling and whiskey-barrel sink in the bathroom add to its charm. Pets are allowed and are charged a fee of $25 (first night) and $15 (per ea. add'l night). Maximum two-person occupancy.

It’s the perfect spot for a weekend away or historic excursion. The newly constructed River Front Park sits at the rear of the property and is awesome for the little ones.

Conveniently located just 1 mile from I-95 and within 3 miles of downtown Fredericksburg and Mary Washington University. Enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, a portable crib, and a high chair. Bedrooms are fitted with room darkening curtains for your sleeping comfort. The house is a split-level home, with each section functioning as an independent unit.

This beautiful and secluded home is situated on 25 acres of private property. It is tastefully decorated and just a short drive to the old town of Fredericksburg. There are private trails on the property if you want to explore nature, or you can enjoy the many amenities this home has to offer. Horses are located next door and can be visited during your stay. Please let us know if you are interested in bringing your own horse and we can check availability.
