Relax and Explore in Laingholm

We live in the chilled suburb of Laingholm, just ten minutes drive from Titirangi. You will have use of the ground floor of our family home which gives you your own living room with a separate bedroom (queen size bed) and bathroom with a shower. There is a kitchenette area offering microwave, toaster, kettle and small fridge. Watch the sunrise through the bush and across the water of the Manukau harbour. You will also have private use of the front garden and Summer House while you stay.

A hidden gem situated in the Waitakere Ranges, Karekare has left many astonished by its natural structures and the peaceful charm that comes along with it. Where the black sand beach meets the tumultuous Tasman Sea , it was the location for the beach scenes for the 1993 Academy Award winning film 'The Piano' . A mighty waterfall. Captivating sunsets. Compact, purpose-built self-contained studio in Woodlands Park Titirangi, with a deck overlooking our lovely tranquil garden. There is a king-sized bed that can be separated into twin beds. We are located perfectly for access to Auckland’s West Coast beaches and the Waitakere Regional Park with its spectacular hills and forests and delightful Titirangi Village. Central Auckland is only 25 mins drive away. The Punga studio is small, but with everything necessary for a comfortable stay.

Tranquil Karekare Valley Home

Tranquil Valley Home, 4 guests 2 upstairs bedrooms. A walk on Karekare beach is one of the most memorable walks in the country. Some of the local bush and coastal walks are also highly rated. Karekare had some significant flooding in February 2023. There are still some road works being completed. We inform guests about these at the time of the booking. Our place and Karekare is now fine and safe to visit. We look forward to having you stay. Stephen

Misty Mountain Hut - Piha

A tiny isolated hut amidst Kauri and Rimu trees to escape the world, self check in. Outdoor Fire, long drop, outdoor hot shower/bath. Surrounded by Tuis and Wood pigeons the hut is close to Piha and Karekare…or simply stay and enjoy nature. Beaches are 10 minutes away by car. Grocery shopping and gassing up recommended beforehand. Misty Mountain Hut supports local Piha staff by paying $40/hr.

Good sized bedroom with ensuite (shower, toilet and vanity) and polished concrete floor. Main area includes entrance lounge area including TV, heat pump, washing machine, couch and kitchenette.
