Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Pierce Farmhouse was built in 1870 as a wedding gift for a son. We have owned it for 20 years and have made another set of renovations to bring it back to its original charm and character while making it more comfortable with modern amenities. The farmhouse sits on 60 wooded acres in High Shoals and guests have access to our pond for fishing and river for canoeing. We are 20 minutes from Athens, and 15 minutes from Monroe and Madison.

This rental is a one bedroom, one bathroom over-garage apartment (with separate stairway entrance) that sleeps up to 4 people. Bedroom includes a queen bed and spacious closet. Washer and dryer are also included inside the loft. Two additional wall bunks adjacent to the living room sleep up to 220lbs a piece. Newly renovated bathroom features a spa-like rain showerhead and fogless mirror. Dining room table seats four people. Includes a spacious balcony overlooking the beautiful Lake Varner.
