Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. With views of the Pentland Firth, to the Orkney Islands . Southview is a newly renovated 17th century croft house , located in Portskerra , an old fishing port with slipway and harbour. Being 500m from the famous NC 500 A836 route, Southview has easy access to Thurso (17 miles) nearest town with supermarkets / shopping , and to the west, Betty Hill (13 miles) , with Melvich , Strathy , Farr and Reay beaches waiting to be explored . Sorry no pets

Serendipity B & B Latheron

We have two ensuite bedrooms set in the converted former West Church at Latheron on the NC500 route. Two guests per room. Each room is furnished to a high standard and the setting has a full operating licence as required by Highland Council. Tea making facilities and in room basket breakfast provided. Outlook from the building is to the North Sea and central location allows for opportunity to explore the locality taking in some of the places of interest as well as accessing many local eateries

King room with bay view and private bathroom

The king bedroom is on the ground floor with views of Thurso Bay and Dunnet Head. Within the room are fitted wardrobes, charging points and tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. A continental breakfast is served in the room. Our home is situated above Scrabster harbour, it is a 15-20 minute walk to catch the Orkney ferry. Alternatively it is a great place to stay if you're working in the area or exploring Caithness. If you're passing through on the NC500 this is ideal as a stopping point

The Highland Haven, converted barn, John O'Groats

The Highland Haven is perfect for those travelling the NC500 or visiting Orkney in a group. Our two rooms have traditional box beds and can sleep up to 10 (4 in one room, 6 in the other), each with Ensuite and an extra wet room. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining, lounging area surrounding a wood burner. We have secure parking, free laundry facilities and WIFI . Our location is stunning and full of wildlife. There's nowhere quite like it, check out @thehighlandhaven #sconewiththewind

Old country cottage built in 1873 set in the small village of Melvich with amazing coastal views and breathtaking scenery. On the North Coast 500 route, this property offers an ideal location for exploring both Caithness and Sutherland. Melvich boasts a sandy beach within a 5 minute walk from the cottage. This property has a private and enclosed garden with private parking. There is an open fire in the living room which would be set by the host. Dog friendly, max 2 dogs.

This converted building in the picturesque village of Melvich has been recently renovated and has amazing sea views including the Orkney islands! Offering WiFi, television, and off-road parking for one car. Also, with the new addition of a woodburning stove, you will certainly not be cold! Ideally situated for exploring the north of Sutherland and Caithness, this area is popular for walking, fishing, surfing, golfing and has one of the most beautiful beaches in the area!

Beautiful Highland Farm -The Old Servants Quarters

The Old Servants Quarters at Clynelish Farm offers simple & compact but comfortable self contained accommodation. Please note: This property has a very steep & narrow staircase making it unsuitable for some people. It is accessed via its own door from the garden & has everything you need for a short break. The space has it's own kitchen, bathroom, lounge & 2 bedrooms. It has a microwave oven & plug in cooking hob for basic cooking. Unfortunately no dogs permitted.

Ashcroft

Ashcroft is situated in the fishing village of Brora on the A9 and NC500 route .Brora offers a Golf course, fishing, walking, cycling and horse riding and boasts fabulous beaches and a beautiful loch both .excellent places for bird watching.. There are several places in the village to eat a pub, a hotel, Indian and Chinese take away and a well stocked Co op. Dunrobin Castle is only 5 miles away and well worth a visit.
