Urban Nest - Best Location, Comfort and Modern

Our condo, right in the heart of downtown Asheville, is the perfect getaway for digital nomads. You literally can’t beat our fantastic location. Great bars, coffee shops, breweries, dozens of terrific restaurants, The Asheville Art Museum, Pack Square, Spa Theology (a real treat for the weary!) - all are within a short walk from the Urban Nest. If you're too tired to go out after a long day on the laptop, just ride down the elevator that opens into the popular Lobster Trap. If you're out hiking or taking in the sights, come home to a cozy, stylish, comfortable landing pad, with elegant granite What is just outside our door? The ever popular Lobster Trap is in the first floor of our building - people line up here nightly to get some of their freshly flown in seafood. Out the other entrance you'll see Table Restaurant, Imperial Life Bar, the Vault and the old time Mediterranean Diner. Tops Shoes has been drawing shoppers to Asheville for years - it is across the street. One block over is Pack Square that houses the Diana Wortham theater, the Asheville Museum, Pack Square Park with Splashville...on and on. Walk to all of Asheville's music venues and most of the breweries! You can't find a better location in downtown Asheville. The condo is all yours, with kitchen, private bath and the comforts of home. We live and work in Asheville and are often nearby if needed - we are always available by email or phone, and if we travel, we supply contact info for emergency back up. We've been hosting guests here since 2004 and are just new to Airbnb. Check out the hosts' Insider's Guide to narrow down the dazzling array of choices of downtown restaurants and bars within walking distance. After a show at the Diana Wortham Theater, dine back in the building at the Lobster Trap on the 1st floor. Popular High Five Coffee and the Rhu are within a block. Walk to the drum circle on Fridays or catch Downtown after Five concerts in the summer, or go next door for a spa day at Spa Theology. You will love the Asheville Urban Nest! Asheville is a pretty small city and easily walkable, but we are in the mountains, and some of our streets are pretty hilly. Uber and Lyft tend to be quick and inexpensive, and there are a couple of taxi companies too. We do not have private parking - we are in the middle of downtown so parking is in the public decks or on street. Parking in the Rankin deck (across from entrance) and Civic Center decks are $10/24 hours or $1/hour for in and out. Parking is typically not an issue but can be busy during big events or festivals. If you want to park your car and walk everywhere, we have a free parking option in a gravel lot 1/2 mile down the road available for our guests that is free, but we realize that not everyone wants to do that. Just ask Lynne before you arrive if you want that option. We recognize that not everyone is used to the hustle and bustle of downtown, even in a small city like ours. There is unavoidably some street noise, and even through the thick walls of this classic, early 20th century building, if you're sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room, you may hear it. If you're a light sleeper we have fans you can plug in for white noise.

If you're looking for a secluded mountain getaway this is not the place but if you are looking to be in the heart of downtown festivities then our loft is the perfect place for you! Our loft has local art, a small balcony, high ceilings and exposed brick. We are right in the center of all the downtown action. You are literally steps away from incredible craft beers, award-winning food and regional music. Downtown is lively especially at night where you can hang out and see a local funk band or head down to the drum circle then sleep late then head downstairs for a massage. Luxury downtown loft on second floor of historic brick building. Sitting balcony overlooks College St. Completely equipped kitchen Coffee maker Coffee & Tea provided HDTV with Sling TV and Netflix and local channels Wireless speaker Pullout couch with Sealy Posturepedic mattress Queen size bed with memory foam mattress and pillows Washer and Dryer We live in Asheville nearby but do not live in the building but are happy to answer any questions you have. The home's convenient downtown location puts the vibrant Asheville culture right outside the door. Dine at award-winning restaurants and bakeries, try some new drinks at the local breweries, and enjoy the energetic nightlife of the area. You are close to several parking decks. You will not need to drive unless you are going to the River Arts District, Biltmore House or hiking in the mountains. Located between Lexington Ave & Haywood St, the loft is a 1 minute walk to Pack Square and Biltmore Ave and a 3 minute walk to the Grove Arcade & Wall St. Taxis and Uber run all the time. We allow dogs with prior approval. The building has an elevator. The entrance to the building has secure keypad code access. The bedroom is in the interior of the condo with pocket doors to separate the room from the living area and windows. Downtown Asheville can be noisy and music can be heard most nights. We have a white noise machine and earplugs to minimize any disruption. It can however be loud for guests sleeping on the pullout couch in the living area. We cannot issue refunds for noise emanating from the neighborhood around the condo.
