OCEANSIDE RETREAT

A beachfront studio unit sleeping 5 on the same large rural beachfront property as Penguins Retreat and Whitebait Cottage. The sleeping area of the large unit is divided into two so that the queen bed and the second area with another queen bed and single bed have visual privacy but the wall does not go to the ceiling We do not live on the property so this place suits independent travellers who have a car, wanting to spend time on a west coast beach. Only 3 minutes drive to Hokitika township.

Our coastal walking track runs directly past this house, which invites safe and scenic walks or mountain biking. Brand new Cplay Adventure Playground, Penguins & Aquatic centre are also just a stone throw away. Supermarket and Fast food options just a walk across the park.

Cabin on the Beach

Our "cool little" cabin is a very small, detached, cozy, private bedroom looking out towards the rugged Tasman Sea. You will enjoy your own private space, comfortable queen bed, beautiful sunsets, beach access, and the convenience of a 3 min beach walk to Hokitika town centre. Bathroom facilities are detached from cabin and shared with our other cabin guests. Our place is perfect for couples and solo adventurers.

We are on the waterfront, Esplanade

Priceless ocean and mountain views. Our house is situated opposite the Pacific Ocean. We would like to share our own Kaikoura holiday home with you. Our holiday home is just an ordinary, basic house but we have extraordinary views! Just 15 minutes walk to town or 2 minutes drive. Some activities you will enjoy are: whale watching, swimming with dolphins and seals, kayaking, and walks in the Kaikoura native bush.

Nestled across from New Brighton Beach, this stylish 2-storey 1BR retreat is just 30 secs from the sand. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, sunny courtyard, and easy access to The Pier & Hot Pools. Guests love the comfort, great communication, and Uber availability with quick pickups. Parking is free but limited. While dining nearby is limited, Christchurch is close. A cozy stay many would return to!
