Niharika, The Old Place

Outside, the wind rises and the tall trees sway like drunks going home. To the north, the Himalayas beckon as the fireplace warms cold fingers after a walk to the monastery up the hill. Munal Suite is a 2 bedrooms loft space with architecture offerings of exposed bricks. Situated amidst quiet residential neighbourhood, not very far from the heart of the town, the space offers some spectacular views of Kalimpong and the Relli valley. Walks in all directions leads you through Kalimpong’s suburbs to the scenic Pujedara overlooking the Relli valley or to the Roerich centre at the iconic British-era Crookety up on the hill. EDEN by REVOLVER is a riverside homestay on a two-acre+ plot alongside the river Relli ~ a kilometre away from Relli Bazar and a 30-minute-drive from Kalimpong town. The tariff quoted is per head and includes dinner and breakfast. Lunch and snacks, if required, can be ordered and will be charged extra. For infants and children below 5, board will not be charged. Early check-in possible. As of now, we do not have any accommodation for drivers that come along. However, we are working on it.

Noella's Pad

My place is close to The Mall- about a two minute walk. It is located in the same building as Glenary's (owned by my family). It is right in the heart of the town centre where the action is. There is a kitchen, in case you want a quiet night and make your own dinner; or you could just walk upstairs to Glenary's and treat yourself in the cafe or restaurant. It is compact and cosy - good for couples and solo adventurers. It’s been recently renovated with a brand new bathroom and shower.

Panorama. A Heritage Bungalow

‘Panorama’ where the last King of Burma’s second daughter spent an idyllic life in exile from 1947 onwards. She lived here with her husband till April 4, 1956. It is a beautiful property with a 180 degree view of the Himalayan range during the months when there is no haze. One can also see the western part of Kalimpong town. It's an almost 100 years old bungalow built during the British Raj. It is well maintained with polished floorboards and red oxide floors and fire places.

Ideal for a Himalayan retreat experience or trekking to Sandakphu, the house is located directly below Samten monastery Rimbick, in the district of Darjeeling, state of West Bengal The monastery is a hundred years old institution, which was established in 1917. It is now a place where the villagers gather for prayer and to perform the various rites as per Bddhist traditions
