Built in the early 1860's in the central area of the town, it is a minutes walk from all the town's attractions- the galleries, restaurants, hotels, theatre, boutiques, supermarket, and easy walking distance to the gardens, regional parks, railway station, and the Woollen Mill complex. The cottage is central to the wider region where cute historical gold rush towns are there be explored - Maldon, Guildford, Clunes, Daylesford & the larger towns of Castlemaine & Maryborough. A romantic stay with an unusual double shower (see photo) , a wood fire in winter great coffee, good food, art & wildlife. We are welcoming & unpretentious.

The stone cottage is positioned on top of the hill in the heart of Chewton Bushlands and provides amazing views across to Mount Macedon and Mount Franklin. We welcome adults, infants not yet crawling or walking and children from 6 years and above as well as up to 2 pets. IMPORTANT NOTE There are access issues for young children to the nearby creek, hence our restriction of young kids at the property.
