I-77 passes thru Wytheville or east-west via I-81.

Ready for a rustic getaway? Our unique rental is located in a working horse barn and wedding venue in the peace and quiet of the country, and less than 5 minutes from I-77! Enjoy your morning coffee on our porch overlooking the rolling hills and pasture fields. Horses do not live in the barn anymore, but in our pasture surrounding the barn. You can enjoy morning or evening walks around the hay field or with a short drive get to the river or new river trail for some outdoor activities!

Directly across from Allisonia boat ramp and immediately adjacent to our other listing (Cozy Waterfront Cabin). Shared use of boat ramp located on the next lot. Large flat yard is perfect for outdoor activities beside the water. Nearby access to New River Trail. Well behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval. You must keep dog leashed during visit. Nestled in the heart of SW Virginia, Ridge View Cabin is a relaxing place to get away from it all; yet, the charming and historic towns of Hillsville and Floyd Virginia are less than 18 miles away. Chateau Morrisette winery and restaurant is a 20 minute drive as is Villa Appalachia Winery. The Blue Ridge Parkway is easily accessible and the Virginia Creeper Trail is in nearby Galax. There are plenty of other hiking trails around and river sports are nearby.

New River Trail Estate

This spacious home is the perfect place to base your vacation on the New River Trail! We are located on the trail at mile marker 12.5 on one of the prettiest parts of the New River Trail. From the veranda you can listen to the rapids of the New River spilling into Claytor lake. There is a boat launch less than a half mile away offering free river access. Little travelers have their own space with a play room upstairs and plenty of room to play outside.
