Our mountain sanctuary

Come relax and play in the great outdoors. Our area is abundant with lakes, rivers, waterfalls and hiking (the Appalachian trail is just a mile away). Our rustic cabin is built from 1875 hand hewn logs and is located on Spivey Creek in Unicoi County Tennessee. The towns of Erwin TN and Burnsville NC are just down the mountain for shopping convenience. For the arts, entertainment and airport convenience Asheville NC and Johnson City TN are less than an hour away. Come stay in our lovely cabin.

Just 6 miles to Ski Sugar on state maintained roads. Boone and Blowing Rock are a short 30 minute drive. Restaurants and grocery stores are within 5-10 minutes.

This home features an open concept with vaulted living area, large kitchen, expansive bedroom with spa like bathroom. A short drive miles to either Boone or Blowing Rock.

Bathroom is only 30 yard walk. Sleeping space for 2 adults only. 1-2 small kids may be allowed with preapproval. AWD/4-wheel drive recommended December-March in case of snow.

Studio apartment in the basement of our home. It has its own driveway and entrance. The studio apartment locks from the outside and locks from the rest of our basement. It is about 800 sq. ft. Our house is conveniently located to Hickory (10 miles) Morganton (10 miles) Lenoir (15 miles) Table Rock/Lake James (20 miles) Blue Ridge Parkway( 35 miles) Boone (50 miles) Charlotte (50 miles). We also have a 70 acre cattle and sheep farm that you are free to explore. Very quiet and private.

The Carriage House and city of Morganton have power and are ready visitors. This guest house sits behind a historic home in downtown Morganton. The 1920s structure has restored original finishes : a claw foot tub, vintage bathroom sink, and farm house sink in the kitchen. Downstairs features original wood bead board ceilings. Upstairs the ceiling was removed to expose the roof and beams. Two fireplaces keep it cozy - you'll have a lovely place relax and listen to the rain on the metal roof.
