Chickens just outside your door to greet you a "rise & shine" morning & flowers everywhere. Our seasonal gardens are open for you to enjoy picking organic food, along with farm fresh eggs.

Naming this property was not easy, not only is this a Sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation, guests can also enjoy the popular site seeing and abundant wildlife native to our beautiful Black Hills. Whether winter or summer, there are activates nearby - fishing, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating. The large yard is host to deer and turkey, an ideal gathering spot for celebration, fun and games.

Grandma's House in the Heart of the Black Hills

Grandma's House is in the heart of the Black Hills, located 1 mile from Hill City, it is minutes away from Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and more. It sits alone on the edge of a meadow with hills directly behind it and a small, bubbly creek in front of the house. We are Hinterwood Inn & Cabins, minutes from Mt. Rushmore. The Woodsley unit has beautiful rustic comforts, from the stump accent wall to the cozy gas fireplace — you'll enjoy your stay and the expansive outdoor spaces on the property. It includes 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a full-size murphy bed in the living room. It has one full bathroom with a shower (no tub) and a half bathroom. It has a full kitchen, a gas grill on the large private deck, a private fire pit, and amazing views!
