A side note: we have a family of wild turkeys that visit the property, as well as abundant wildlife. We also free range our 3 chickens and 3 dusks named Larry, Curley and Mo. Our animals are free roaming, as well as working dogs that watch over the ranch, so we require that your furry family member/s be leashed at all times when outdoors. Delightfully Cozy Historic Post Office/Guesthouse

Estelene was established in 1910 and served as a community center and post office for rural people of southwest Baca County until 1927. Estelene was named after Estelene Collins, the lady who operated the post office on the Collins Ranch where it was located. Estelene was also a teacher at the local schoolhouse for a time. The story goes that after she got older and unable to climb the hill to the original post office, she asked the community to build her a post office closer to the house.

The Riverwood cabin was built by the property owner (Oso), a direct descendant of Dr. Herff, an early settler to Boerne in the 1850's. The rustic, craftsman-built cabin sits on an 85 acre historic ranch and wildlife preserve, located just 2 miles from downtown Boerne Square.
