Des activités uniques animées par des experts du coin et reconnues pour leur qualité

  • Découvrez les alpagas de la ferme de Naze View
You will arrive at the farm - which has wonderful views We will give you a short talk on the Alpacas; * how to keep you and your Alpaca safe * how to put your Alpaca at ease and gain the most from your experience. * the care and husbandry tasks for alpacas We will match you to the Alpaca which would suit you best, collect "the boys" and go for a walk around our farm - this will be through wooded areas and fields and we will stop to allow you time to pet the Alpacas and get to know them. PLEASE ENSURE YOU WEAR SUITABLE FOOTWEAR. We will have cuddles and photo opportunities and hand feed them. You will be able to feel some of their fleece and if you wish you can collect some alpaca poop if you wish to make some "fertiliser tea" once you return home to help your garden grow! You may have the chance to meet our Swiss Valais Blacknose sheep. You will leave the experience with increased knowledge about these wonderful animals and benefit from some time in their company. There are 3 alpacas, each visitor will have 1 alpaca each, if you have a group of more than 3 people, please get in touch. Alpacas are friendly animals who have a natural curiosity. They are nervous and can be startled easily so we try and minimise loud noises and quick movement, please ensure long hair is tied back. The experience is WEATHER DEPENDENT.

  • Promenade à la découverte des herbes sauvages de Hope Valley
Put on your walking shoes & come exploring the local wild plants of the Peak District! We will learn about medicinal & culinary uses for many of the plants we find, with some history, Folk-lore & anecdotes. Be prepared for the world to look a little different when you return, since you will probably be astonished just how interesting so many of our common wild plants are! These Herb Walks are relaxed & gentle, normally lasting about 2 hours, with plenty of time to stop & get to know the plants, including tasting & making tea with them where appropriate! If you want to make a wild herb tea, please bring your own flask of boiling water. This is a great experience for couples and private groups. Guests are required to keep 2 meters apart from anyone who is not “in their social bubble” until government guidelines change. Please bring a waterproof jacket in case it rains!, wear appropriate clothing, footwear & face masks if needed. Please bring adequate sun protection and drinking water if it looks to be hot!

  • Ateliers de confiture, chutney et marmelade
In the workshop you will learn how to make 2 different preserves; one chutney and one jam. You will have your own sanitised utensils and equipment and you will be spaced out in the kitchen to allow distance between guests - there will be a maximum of 2 guests booked on any course in the preserving workshop. Guided by myself through instruction and demonstration you will prepare and process seasonal fruit and vegetables into delicious preserves that you will take home with you at the end of the day. The day will begin with a tasting session of different types of jams and chutneys. This will be followed by a brief overview of how preserving works, the equipment needed and basic jam/chutney making methods. You will then cook at your own work station, by induction hob or gas hob, in a friendly, informal atmosphere. Throughout the day everything you need to prepare and make your preserves will be supplied, including a restorative cup of tea or coffee. You will make a chutney in the morning followed by a jam after lunch. Having labelled your preserves, you take home all the jars and chutneys you make. Lunch offers another opportunity to sample home made food using seasonal produce. Each workshop is based around ingredients that are seasonally available or preserved through freezing or dehydration. Dates can be arranged to suit you.
