Logements pour rester à Dursley
Our lovely cottage is in the centre of the rural historic town of Dursley. The Cotswold Way passes through making it the ideal rest-stop. Dursley is also ideally located for commuting to Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol and Stroud. Our guest room is a cosy double bedroom within our two-bedroomed house, with views over the garden and the chickens - which give fresh eggs daily! We are LGBT friendly.
The double bedroom is small but warm and cosy. Guests are welcome to make use of the bathroom, kitchen and living room, which is prefect to unwind in after a busy day!
We love living in Dursley! The cottage is in the centre of the town although feels like it's in the middle of the countryside! There are great independent restaurants, shops and plenty of walks to keep you busy. Dursley sits within easy reach of Gloucester, Bristol, Stroud and the charming Cotswolds which makes it the ideal place to stay.

Our characterful Victorian townhouse is on a quiet lane in the centre of Dursley, a small market town in the Cotswolds. We are located on the Cotswold Way, making us a perfect stop for walkers, and just a short walk from shops, cafes and restaurants. Dursley is surrounded by stunning scenery and several award-winning country pubs, and is perfectly situated for a quiet Cotswolds break any time of the year. We love hosting people in our home and are happy to help you plan your visit!
Come and enjoy a visit to the Cotswolds and stay in a comfortable double room in a Grade II listed Victorian townhouse with your own bathroom (next to your bedroom) on the ground floor. There is another bathroom, with a free-standing tub, on the top floor. It's our home, which we share with a well-mannered Welsh Terrier. Tucked away on a quiet footpath, we are a minute's walk from all town centre services, bus station (buses for Bristol, Stroud & Gloucester), supermarket, pubs, cafes and a wide range of shops. There's a couple of good curry houses and an Italian restaurant in town too, a stone's throw from our door. The Cotswold Way long-distance footpath passes right by us, and walkers are particularly welcome. Rail station at Cam 2 miles away (from where we can pick you up if you miss the last bus) with regular trains to Bristol and Gloucester. We offer high speed wi-fi, use of the kitchen (or optionally a cooked dinner for a modest fee) and a continental breakfast. We love to meet visitors from overseas and will be happy to introduce you to the beauty of the Cotswolds. Our local pub also happens to be a recent CAMRA UK pub of the year winner, so a good choice for ale- and cider-lovers. If you need a guide to find the best views, walks and hidden country pubs look no further. Folding single bed for a child also available if needed. Although not fully level / wheelchair accessible, this ground floor accommodation is very suitable if you have restricted mobility and we'll do our best to overcome any obstacles. This listing is for Room 1, our ground floor double; it also includes some photos of Room 2, our first floor lounge with a pull-out couch; this room can be rented as a second room if required.
Dursley is a small market town on the less-touristy side of the Cotswolds. We never have bus-loads from overseas arriving to photograph our High Street, but in every direction we are surrounded by steep hills, beech woods, and spectacular views from the Cotswold escarpment across the river Severn over into Wales. On a good day you can see the Brecon Beacons and on a bad day The Old Spot is the most welcoming pub in the world.

Our grade 2 listed coach house is warm, homely and relaxing. Centrally located in a tucked away position in the beautiful Cotswold market town of Dursley, it's a very short walk to the Cotswold way and many wonderful mountain biking trails.
The coach house has 2 double bedrooms and a comfy sofa bed in the sitting room which can be shut off and used as a bedroom. The open kitchen diner is fully equipped for 6 and includes local produce for a lovely breakfast for the first day of your stay (eggs, bacon, bread, milk) and cerals and jams for the duration of your stay. The bathroom has a Japanese deep soaking bath to soak the muscles after a hard day walking, biking or shopping as well as a separate shower. There is a wood burning stove in the spacious living room with logs a plenty. Although self catering accomodation we ensure that all the basics are always topped up so you'll never have to go out shopping for dishwasher tablets, washing powder or loo roll!
Dursley is situated in a beautiful wooded escarpment on the edge of the Cotswolds. The coach house is in a very centrally located, tucked away and quiet position. Ideally located for the award winning pub The Old Spot as well as an array of eateries, a swimming pool and a super cool cafe and Vintage clothing shop. Close to Dursley are the attractive towns of Tetbury, Nailsworth and Stroud, the cities of Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham and Gloucester and all of the tourist attractions that the Cotswolds has to offer.

Comfortable and rustic pair of cosy log cabins, one for living and sleeping with a private deck, another adjacent fed by spring water housing the small but lovely shower room and kitchen. A couple of mins from the Cotswold way, a mile from the station and half a mile from the nearest town with it's restaurants, pubs, bus station and shops. Great for walkers, writers, artists and bird/wildlife enthusiasts or just relaxing. Air is pure, stars are wonderful, mornings often bring wildlife visitors.

Merci Debbie (:

Welcome to Butterrow Gate, brought to you exclusively by Character Cottages, local specialists in stylish, Cotswold holiday rentals. Butterrow Gate is a distinctive, beautifully renovated Grade II listed property which sits proudly on Butterrow Hill on the outskirts of the market town of Stroud. Located in the heart of the stunning "Five Valleys" region of the Cotswolds, Stroud is well known for its bohemian vibe and eclectic mix of shops, with Jasper Conran describing the weekly Farmers' Market held in the town as "the Covent Garden of the Cotswolds". The Five Valleys converge on Stroud and contain some of the most beautiful countryside Britain has to offer. Butterrow Gate is also well placed for exploring further afield, with the spa towns of Bath and Cheltenham both within easy reach. Important Customer Notice: - Special Events: Christmas, New Year and the Cheltenham Horse Racing Festival are Special Events, with bookings typically limited to weeks only from a specific start day If your dates don’t appear to fit, then please click Contact Host below to find out what options may exist for you!
The green front door opens into an entrance hall which houses the washing machine/tumble dryer, and the following rooms are on the ground floor: Living/dining room: Laid with beautiful flagstone flooring, this uniquely shaped room features original Cotswold stone walls, pretty stone mullion windows and a cosy wood burning stove. Tastefully decorated, this room contains a sofa, a footstool and an armchair, along with a Freesat TV with DVD player and a small dining table with drop down leaves which comfortably seats two; Kitchen: This compact yet well-equipped space contains an electric oven with four ring-induction hob, a dishwasher, Morphy Richards coffee machine, a fridge with a small freezer compartment, a kettle and toaster; Family bathroom: Located off the entrance hall, this room contains a walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin. Stairs lead up from the living area directly into the characterful bedroom: Master bedroom: With original Elm floorboards dating back to 1825, and exposed Cotswold stone walls, this bedroom has a romantic ambience and stunning views from the stone mullion windows over the pretty market town of Stroud and the surrounding valley. There is a pretty wrought iron double bed and two occasional chairs, as well an ornamental stone fireplace and a double wardrobe. The stable door from the bedroom opens onto the outside patio area decorated with pretty pots and featuring the walk-on glass area directly above the kitchen. Three steps lead up to a larger patio area with stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the market town of Stroud. This private, sunny space has an outdoor table, two chairs and a wooden bench, perfect for relaxing on warm summer days. A charcoal barbecue is provided from April to September, and there is a chiminea for cooler evenings. The outside space can also be accessed via a right of way through the neighbour’s garden and on street parking is available close to the property.
Encircled by five sweeping valleys opening out to the River Severn and made famous by Laurie Lee's novel "Cider with Rosie", the scenery is dramatic around Stroud. The town and its surrounding villages provide a great base from which to explore the undiscovered south Cotswolds, as well as for day trips to Bristol and Bath. London is just a 90 minute direct train away. At a time when the prevalence of chain stores has turned many of Britain's High Streets into copies of each other, Stroud is a welcome relief. With a bohemian vibe and an enviable array of independent shops, Stroud offers a unique shopping experience unrivalled by any town or city in the locality. Brimming with character and standing amidst the dramatic backdrop of the Five Valleys, Stroud has an eclectic mix of shops in the most beautiful of settings. The award-winning Farmers' Market is held each Saturday and is one of the best in the country, described by Jasper Conran as "the Covent Garden of the Cotswolds". Throughout the summer months, street performers will entertain you every Saturday morning and there is a full programme of music and theatre throughout the year – a true hub of cultural events. Stroud is a place that repays investigation, especially for the quality and variety of artists at work in the area – you could also choose to take part in one of the many traditional workshops! Food & Drink Stroud has numerous places to eat and drink, with a range of cuisines and prices to suit all tastes and budgets. The list below is a small sample of the range of options available: JRooL Bistro (www.jrool.co.uk): JRooL Bistro is a fine example of the sum of its parts being greater than the whole. The team has a passion for food and wine, such that the end result is an experience of food, wine and service that is, simply, award winning. The flexibility of the dining room encourages leisurely family lunches, business dining, appetisers and drinks at the bar, pre-theatre dinners or a full gastronomic experience; No 23 Bar & Bistro: No 23 is a popular, independent Stroud Bar, Café and Restaurant, specialising in tapas and Mediterranean fare. The fully stocked bar serves choice wines, beers and aperitifs to complement the extensive menu; Sorrento Italian Restaurant (www.sorrentostroud.co.uk): The menu offers superb presentations of traditional favourites, such as pizzas, pasta, succulent steaks, chicken and fish dishes, all served in a relaxing, friendly environment. Stroud also has a wide range of food retailers, including an award winning Farmers' Market, held every Saturday.

Pear Tree Cottage is located in the quiet hamlet of Cherington. Accessed via a lovely patio garden, the front door opens directly into the spacious yet cosy living room. The following rooms are located on the ground floor: Living room: This bright and airy space is full of character and charm, including a bay window, wooden flooring, an inglenook fireplace with a cosy wood burning stove and vintage and antique tables, all complemented by wonderful artwork. There are two sofas, a Freeview TV with a DVD player, and a DAB radio; Dining room: This elegantly presented room is an ideal space for entertaining. There is a large wooden dining table with seating for six, an inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove, a restored antique chair, a converted copper paraffin lamp and an iPod docking station; Kitchen: This well-equipped space is perfect for home cooking and features an electric oven with four-ring electric hob, fridge with ice box, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and a CD player with radio; Utility room: A handy space for keeping muddy boots and storing jackets. There is a king size bed, two chests of drawers (one with a vanity mirror), a wooden rocking chair, plus hooks behind the door for additional hanging space; Bedroom 2: Overlooking the pear tree in the front garden, this lovely bedroom contains two single beds, a chest of drawers for storage, plus hooks for additional hanging space; Family bathroom: A bright and stylish bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin and a heated towel rail. The beautiful rear garden is accessed via the utility room and comprises three different areas. The first section is a lawn bordered by pretty flowers and a box hedge, a lovely setting to relax and unwind. From here, the garden continues through a gap in the stone wall to another well-maintained area which is bordered by flowers, grasses and a variety of fruit trees. This part of the garden descends to one last lawn area, a lovely tranquil space which provides stunning views over the rolling hills and Cotswold countryside beyond. Free on-street parking is readily available close to the cottage and throughout the hamlet.
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone "wool churches". The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.

Minchinhampton is a very attractive, thriving hilltop town, situated on a tongue of high land between the Golden Valley and the Nailsworth Valley, 1.5 miles north east of Nailsworth. The town also sits on the eastern fringes of Minchinhampton Common, high above the valleys that were once prosperous with the production of cloth. The centre of Minchinhampton is a picture-postcard image of what people expect of a small Cotswold town, with a selection of nice shops and places to eat. The town is centred on its High Street and old Market Square, the main feature of which is the late 17th century Market House, supported on stone columns. The interesting Holy Trinity Church dates from the 12th century and has a truncated spire looking over the Market Square. The church was given to Caen's Abbaye aux Dames by William the Conqueror and then in 1415 passed to Syon Abbey, in whose hands it remained until the Dissolution. Minchinhampton Common is a large area of open grassland with spectacular views over the Stroud and Nailsworth valleys. The area is owned by National Trust and is an important archaeological landscape, with prehistoric field systems, burial mounds and the remains of a defensive earthwork, known as The Bulwarks. In the summer the Commons are grazed by local commoners' cattle. The area covers 635 acres and is renowned for its colourful array of wild flowers and butterflies. Food & Drink For a small market town, Minchinhampton is fortunate to be blessed with a number of good places to eat and drink: The Crown Inn (https://www.thecrown-minchinhampton.com/): Roaring fires, a restaurant serving up locally inspired flavours, and a cellar stocked full of craft ales, fine wines, and fizz - when it comes to Cotswold country pubs, The Crown Inn is the perfect place to meet, eat, and make great memories. The Ragged Cot (www.theraggedcot.co.uk): Perched high on the Cotswolds outside the ancient market town of Minchinhampton sits the Ragged Cot, a country inn getaway created for serious pleasure seekers. Born of a 17th century coaching house inn set beside six hundred acres of National Trust common land the Ragged Cot is a pretty special place with an intriguing history of highwaymen and pilferage. The proprietors of the Ragged Cot take pride in their professional approach to food and service, with the seasonal menu offering great British food sourced from local farmers and even their own vegetable garden. With dishes such as seared ox tongue with pickled red cabbage, pheasant with braised leeks and artichoke puree or just simply ham, eggs with triple cooked chips you will always find a dish to fit; The Kitchen (www.thekitchenminchinhampton.co.uk): Choose a seat by the beautiful bay window and watch for riders trotting by on horseback or perhaps the occasional herd of cows strolling down from the Common. Serving delicious breakfasts, morning and afternoon teas, and lunches, all the locally sourced food is prepared fresh daily; The Old Lodge, Minchinhampton Common (www.food-club.com/old-lodge.htm): The Old Lodge is beautifully located in the centre of Minchinhampton Common. With unrivalled views of the Cotswolds, this 400 year old hunting lodge is the perfect place to escape the rush. Enjoy quality, locally sourced food served in the restaurant, the bar area, one of the smaller dining rooms or al fresco in the spacious garden. The stunning restaurant accommodates parties of up to 85 people seated and has floor to ceiling windows that look directly onto Minchinhampton Common. Minchinhampton also has an excellent butcher's shop and an organic cheese shop: L Taylor & Sons (www.taylorsminchinhampton.com): For nearly a century L Taylor and Sons has been supplying the highest quality meat to discerning customers. The quality of the shop has been recognised with a Cotswold Life Butcher of the year award; Woefuldane Organic Dairy (www.woefuldanedairy.co.uk): All the products are made by hand in the farm dairy in time honoured ways. The unpasteurised cheeses change throughout the seasons as the milk varies depending on what the cows are eating.

Walkley Wood Cottage is a charming Grade II listed Bath stone property set over 4 floors. With 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, the cottage sleeps 4 (3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children is the most comfortable configuration). Enjoying a peaceful elevated position, Walkley Wood boasts beautiful views of the surrounding valley and neighbouring Cotswold stone properties. The cottage welcomes two, well-behaved dogs*.
*Dogs: Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are welcome at the cottage at an additional cost of £30 per dog. Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog(s) and we will then revise your booking confirmation. Introduction As you approach Walkley Wood Cottage through the winding lanes of Nailsworth, you will notice how the town and surrounding properties are almost hidden by the secluded woodland valley to the east of Stroud. Proudly perched on the side of sleepy Shortwood Road is Walkley Wood Cottage, a distinguished 19th century property with rustic golden stone that immediately casts a warm and welcoming aura. Ideally situated, this cottage is the perfect base for exploring the tranquillity of the surrounding Stroud Valleys and the wider Cotswolds, while guests are also in easy walking distance of the cheerfully eclectic town of Nailsworth. If you’re looking for somewhere to totally relax and unwind, then Walkley Wood is the perfect Cotswold home for you. As you approach the cottage through the cast iron gate and down the stone steps, you will notice a small outdoor table and chairs set down from the lane behind the dry-stone wall. Guests are welcome to sit outside and enjoy the warmth of the summer months in this compact but delightful sun trap. You may find yourself admiring the beautiful architecture and delicate Georgian windows, this cottage was, after all, built in 1852. Although the exact history of the cottage remains largely a mystery, it has been suggested that the building may have been used as a pub many years ago, which could explain the origins of the kitchen skylight. Either way, it’s nice to consider that many happy memories have been created within these historic walls! Inside, Walkley Wood really is the perfect holiday home. Devoid of fussiness and frill, Karen has struck the perfect balance between homely-cosy comfort and refreshing simplicity. Each floor is brought to life by a sprinkling of quirky vintage features, while guests can simultaneously enjoy a bright and Scandinavian-inspired minimalist feel. The living room is the real heart of the property. A log-burning stove immediately creates a wonderful cosy atmosphere, with soft blankets and cushions scattered over furniture to help guests make themselves feel at home. Just a short walk away is the artistic town of Nailsworth, a gem in the heart of the Cotswold valleys. A largely overlooked town, Nailsworth has a fantastic and unspoiled selection of boutiques, bars, pubs and cafes, and really does offer some of the best food for miles around. There’s also often live music events, so it’s always worth keeping an eye on what’s going on! Go down the wooden-topped stairs at the far end of the lounge to the… Kitchen Situated on the lower ground floor, the kitchen is a very well-equipped space for both cooking and dining. Featuring a large fridge/freezer, excellent 5 burner gas hob, electric fan oven, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine and a vast selection of crockery, dishes and utensils, this compact country kitchen has everything you will need. The beamed ceiling and colourful rug add a touch of character to this simple space. Into the hallway and up the next short flight of stairs into the… Master bedroom This fabulous loft-style double bedroom boasts beautiful views from its topmost position in the cottage. With a sumptuous king size bed nestled below the original oak beams of the sloping ceiling, this room is cosy and simple, with some lovely rustic details. You will find the hair dryer in a top drawer of the chest. A curtained-off hanging area makes for a unique open-plan wardrobe, ensuring there’s enough space for you to unpack and relax, while the room retains a lovely snug feel. Outside Walkley Wood Cottage enjoys use of the small gravel/paved courtyard at the front of the house. There is a small patio table and two chairs that guests may use for breakfast, lunch or an evening glass of wine if they wish! If you are looking to stretch your legs further, there are plenty of beautiful walks and open fields surrounding Walkley Wood Cottage, just see ‘Walks’ in the Guidebook.

The delights of the area are arguably some of the best in the UK and Annie and Simon can offer more details upon request.

If you want to get away to a quiet rural retreat, then this may be the place for you. This delightful detached dorma bungalow enjoys spectacular views over open fields. It is rooted in the countryside, yet within easy distance of Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Stroud and Gloucester. You can pick up the Cotswold Way from the bottom of the garden and yet its just a couple of miles to the train station. You are all welcome whether business, leisure or pleasure.
The private bedroom is really cosy with a super comfortable small double Vi-Spring bed. There is room for a sofa and chair. Lovely views of Stinchcombe hill to the front of the house.
The neighbourhood is semi rural. My property backs on to open fields. Upper Cam is centrally located between, Bristol, Bath, Gloucester and Cheltenham.

The Retreat is situated on Woodchester Valley Vineyard in the Cotswolds, close to Stroud and 1 mile from Nailsworth town with many restaurants, walks, shops and supermarkets. It offers spacious accommodation with stunning views over the valley, a fully equipped kitchen, log burners in both the kitchen and sitting rooms as well as the full sky TV package in 2 separate rooms. As this is adjacent to a working vineyard, regrettably no children under the age of 12 can be accommodated.
The master bedroom offers a super king size bed which can be made into twin beds upon request.
We are located 1.5 miles from the bustling town of Nailsworth, which has an abundance of restaurants, cafés and pubs for breakfast, brunch and dinner options. We are 3.5 miles from the market town of Stroud which boasts one of the best farmers markets in the country every Saturday. The spa towns of Cheltenham and Bath are within 45 minutes, and the area is very popular with walkers, cyclists and those looking for a base from which to explore the South Cotswolds.

The cottage has been renovated to the highest standards whilst still retaining plenty of character. Ideally located for those seeking a luxurious retreat in the countryside with wonderful walks on the door step and the convenience of a pub and well-stocked village shop close by. Plenty of wonderful places to visit in the area and a restful stop gap if walking the Cotswold Way. Fantastic hilly cycling area. Conveniently located for travelling to either Cheltenham, Bristol or Bath
Renovated with much love and care over the last year, I have tried to keep the property simple and stylish but most of all comfortable. The wood burner provides a warming focal point and logs are provided for your first night's stay. Additional logs can be purchased thereafter either from the local shop or directly from me. Accommodation is best-suited up to four but can accommodate up to 6 if you don't mind a squeeze. PLEASE NOTE there is an additional charge per guest per night if more than two guests are staying - when booking, altering the number of guests shows you the exact charge. Netflix for those with accounts. Separate downstairs loo in addition to the large bathroom. Comfy towels and slippers provided for use during your stay. The kitchen is also stocked with coffee, tea, herbal teas, an array of spices and seasoning and I always leave fresh milk for my guests (let me know if you prefer soya/skimmed/etc). All the bedrooms have their own tea/coffee-making facilities.
As well as some wonderful walks on the doorstep, the property is well-situated if visiting the local tourist areas of Nailsworth, Tetbury and Westonbirt or if walking the Cotswold Way. Cheltenham is approximately 40 minutes drive away - perfect for attending the races or any of the festivals whilst Bath and Bristol are also about 40 minutes away. It is also about a ten-minute drive from the wedding and party venue, Kingscote Barn

This is a 400 year old town house that is on the Cotswold Way long distance path, and close to the centre of this Cotswold market town. It is convenient for walkers tackling this delightful section of the Cotswold Way.
This is a very old house, at least 400 years old, which adds charm and quirkiness to its features. The attic bedroom and en-suite are, as you can guess at the top of a steep flight of stairs. Sadly these stairs and the uneven old floorboards and the many changes is level, mean that this house is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. The room is light and comfortable and warm but has restricted headroom at the sides of the room. It has a great view from the roof window. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the room. There is plenty of storage space for clothing, equipment and bags. In this house I am familiar with muddy boots, so that is no problem and would like to extend a special welcome to all walkers and ramblers.
My house is on the edge of glorious Cotswold countryside as well as being a few yards from the centre of the market town of Dursley. The town has an excellent Italian restaurant, a famous local ales pub, The Old Spot, as well as other pubs and plenty of takeaway facilities. There is a gym, swimming pool, library, supermarket and a good selection of independent retail shops on the main street. The town has a fascinating industrial history that includes the famous RA Listers engineering factory that made diesel engines and the quirky Pedersen bicycle that was manufactured here in the past. Dursley is a convenient place to stay for visiting local attractions such as the Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust, Berkeley Castle or Newark Park. Access is also easy to the larger towns and cities of Gloucester, Cheltenham and Bristol. My house sits on the Cotswold Way long distance path which passes directly through the town, and brings walkers to this quieter part of the Cotswolds from all over the world. Ramblers on shorter walks exploring the local valleys, woods and hills also like to base themselves in this town.
