It's winter! Far away from the city lights, the stars are bright, and the drive is scenic. With a bright and cheery kitchen, cozy living room, simple & welcoming bedroom we hope you'll find charm and accommodation in our home. In addition to beds in bedroom, home has a futon & couch. Perfect for skiing, sledding, a hunting cabin, your romantic weekend getaway & family ORV adventures, not to mention hiking, swimming, canoeing... Harrison's got recreation!
Unpolluted dark sky, super quiet nights, and pure, delicious well water -this is what it's like to get away from the city.
Purchase fresh produce, baked goods, or homemade maple syrup from our Amish neighbors around the corner. While our home is far from town, it is not necessarily secluded. There are neighbors to the north and west, though there is a privacy fence running between ours and our westerly neighbors' property.

Enjoy the best of both worlds: woods and lake!!! This unique barnwood covered home is perfect for a quiet couple or a large family gathering. The house is a short, scenic drive through the woods that ends at a small gathering of houses. There are woods on 3 sides of the 3 bedroom, 2 bath chalet. Vaulted ceilings and wood beams add to the open floor plan.
Enjoy the large, two level deck that faces towering trees, wildlife, and undeveloped land on one side of the house, or have some coffee or a cocktail on the other side of the house while your pets run around in the new 5’ fenced in area. Grilling is easy with the new gas grill . The beach access is a 2 minute drive back through the woods and around the corner, or you can take the short walk. The lake has a volleyball net, play area, designated swim area, and picnic tables. The boat launch is just on the other side of the lake. The house has beach chairs, beach towels, and rafts for you to use. Just pack your swimsuit and head up! The master bedroom is on the main floor with a closet and an attached master bathroom. The master bath has a full tub/shower, double sinks, and a washer and dryer. The upstairs is divided into two sleeping SPACES with one space that sleeps 4 and the other space sleeping two. There is a new 5 foot fenced in separate yard for your four legged family members (PET FEES APPLY at time of reservation - Please ask).
The neighborhood of South Cranberry Lake is comprised of residents and vacation homes. Our house is situated past the neighborhood, through the trees, and set in a more secluded, wooded area of the neighborhood. There is a small house on only one side of us.
  • Jennifer et Cranberry Chalet, INCROYABLE !!! NOUS SERONS DE RETOUR!!!

    Jon2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

We welcome you to the beautiful property once known as Heritage Hill. It was first owned by the Browne family and land granted to William H. Browne in the 1880's. In the 1930's Browne’s son McKinley and his wife built a small cabin and later enlarged it into a home overlooking Budd Lake. They enjoyed this home and later Mennonites built a “carriage house” to store their antique collection. This later became the Carriage House Inn, opening in 1994, remodeled and tastefully decorated by Dr. and Mrs. John and Connie Mlinarcik. In addition to welcoming guests the Carriage House Inn served as a conference center, clinic, and a corporate base for Dr. Mlinarcik. The Inn closed in 2006 and reopened in 2017 as the Carriage Inn Harrison. Current innkeepers, Ernie and Vivian Lane, are updating the grounds, Carriage House, and the original home.

This 3 bedroom space on 10 acres is perfect for any Michigan getaway. Located 4 miles southwest of Harrison on a paved road and 3 miles from US 127, this is the perfect home base for your adventure. 20 lakes are all within a 20 minute drive and a few of the best being less than 10 minutes away. The Leota trail head is 12 miles away and Rocks and Valleys off road park and Snow Snake Ski and Golf Course is right around the corner. Wood is provided so you can end your days around the fire pit.
Welcome! Peace and quiet is easy to come by here and space is no issue. This 1600sq/ft home can easily sleep 10 yet is set up efficiently enough for a quick night’s rest when passing through. (Message us, we discount for one bed/one night stays) We aim to provide a place that feels like home away from home. Make breakfast for everyone in the full kitchen or take a walk out back to see the view. The property is less than three minutes from US 127 making this the perfect point to rest when heading north. The home had a complete makeover in 2018 and we are constantly making improvements to the home and property. Income isn’t the goal here. We share your passion for travel and strive to provide a space where you can slow down, relax, and make memories. The home sits on a 10 acre parcel located directly in one of Harrison's oldest Farming areas on Harrison Avenue. The property was originally used as additional space to board horses and livestock for the local farmers. The Barn that stands on the property was built in 1963. Nearby neighbors have all told me stories about helping with the construction as young boys. The original house that stood on the property was lost to a fire in 1979 and the property sat vacant until 1984, the year the current home was put in. Pieces of the original foundation are still piled in spots in the back field. The original outhouse is still (somewhat) attached to the barn’s North side. We are currently in the process of renovating the barn. We are planning to have the barn open for parties and events by mid spring/early summer. At this time the inside of the barn is off limits, but we hope to change that soon.

This is a large house, perfect for multiple families or large groups. There are three bedrooms on the first floor, three bedrooms on the walk-out basement level as well as a detached room with bunk beds that is great for teens. A large deck gives you a great view of Arnold Lake, a nice sandy bottom lake. Only 1 mile from the boat launch which makes it easy to drop your boat in and then have some fun in the sun. Full size fridge and freezer provides ample space to bring your own food/drinks.
This home is over 2,000 square feet on the main level, and another 2,000 in the walk-out basement. Large open kitchen and dining area that connects to a homey living room. The walk-out basement provides additional living space. Two of the "bedrooms" don't have windows and are not legal to be counted as be bedrooms, but work perfectly well for sleeping people.
Nice, quiet, dead end street with very little traffic so you can take a walk, run, bike.
