Enjoy a 1 mile walk into cute downtown Mahomet with restaurants, ice cream, and brewery. A short drive to the entrance of Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve, botanical garden, and museum. With a large deck, 1/2 acre property, treehouse, fire pit, mature trees, park next door, and arcade room, you'll never get bored!

The Depot B & B: A Peaceful Retreat

Just minutes from campus, downtown, and the airport, The Depot is a historic home attached to 5 wooded acres, a lake, and a "big sky" view across the prairie for watching sunsets and night skies. Originally a train depot constructed in 1857, it has been fully modernized for contemporary living. However, we have taken great effort to preserve its rustic charms that Abraham Lincoln would have known during his circuit riding days before the Civil War. These include graffiti from 1917.

Next to the heart of the UIUC campus and surrounded by mature trees, this spacious, serene guest suite offers a relaxing stay. It has a private entrance with a foyer, a studio style main room and a bathroom. Sleeps two comfortably with a queen bed and a sofa (not a pull-out) for lounging. No TV, washer, or dryer. No kitchenette, but a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker are provided. Snacks and coffee pods provided. Not accessible for limited mobility. No parties and no smoking.

House also has an electric car charger free to use.

The University of Illinois and Carle Hospital are about 10 miles from the rental property. This is a pet friendly Airbnb, with no additional charge for pets and up to 6 guests. High-speed Wifi is provided by Xfinity with 4 TVs, each with guest mode Roku.
