The "Silk Purse" started life in the 60's as a 10x40 mobile home. Its placement next to Baker Brook offers a private view out of every window and easy vehicle access. The screened porch is a relaxing place to have coffee or cocktails. The Cottage, a house built for guests.

In the village there is a wonderful farm to table restaurant, the Gleanery. A local pub, friendly, great food with indoor and outdoor dining & pub. The General Store, is the oldest continually run general store in Vt. The Next Stage, Yellow Barn, Sandglass Theater, these places provide an amazing collection of visual, musical, spoken word and world renowned art and artist to experience. These cultural event locations are but a mile away for the Cottage I hope you choose for your stay.

Cottage comes with the use of two kayak's, a canoe, two stand up paddle boards, hammock and outside fire place to roast s'mores. (Please do not use fireplace until dusk). Refrigerator & freezer, microwave, keurig, toaster, basic pots and pans, outside grill,a clean lake with swimming area. Tv/DVD player & DVD’s(no cable), WiFi. We supply towels,linens & beach towels. Friendly neighbors on either side of cottage. A perfect relaxing, unplugged weekend getaway.
