It’s just a five-minute drive to historic downtown New Bern where you will find great restaurants and plenty of unique local shops. This property has only one designated parking spot and cannot accommodate trailers. Due to allergies, no pets. Check-out: 5:00pm on Sundays only.

Great local fishing and wildlife refuges. Enjoy the riverfront beach in town. Spend your evenings dining on the large screened back porch and cooking on the grill. Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge and six other wildlife refuges are located within an easy drive. Our community of Terra Ceia is located in the center of the historic towns of Belhaven, Bath, Plymouth and Washington. A day trip to the Atlantic Ocean is easy as the cottage is approximately ninety miles to beaches both north and south.

The Cottage on Hancock - entire historic cottage

This quaint historic cottage, "The Hunter-Stevens Law Office", (c. 1855) is located in the heart of historic downtown New Bern, steps away from shopping, dining, and the waterfront. The cottage sits on the property of the historic Coor-Cook residence (c. 1790), known as the "Stanley Hospital, Officer's Ward" during the Union Army occupation of New Bern. The cottage originally served as the law office of Mr. Geoffrey Stevens, a prior resident of the Coor-Cook house.

I Built in 1913, this historic site was originally the Norfolk-Southern Cafe. In the 1930s, the building was the site of grocery stores and meeting spaces, eventually becoming a popular coffee shop called "The Coffee Caboose". The space was converted into a private house, located steps from the waterfront and downtown dining and shopping. We sincerely invite you to come and enjoy our waterfront town.
