Free on and off-street parking is available nearby. After parking there is a short, moderately steep path to the cottage. A 5 minutes' walk down to the town's restaurants, pubs & shops, and good transport links to Matlock, Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Derby. Walkers can explore the High Peak Trail directly from the cottage.

A light, airy, cosy cottage in the heart of Wirksworth. Close to pubs and restaurants, it’s perfect for relaxing or as a base when exploring the area. The wood burning stove makes the perfect accompaniment to a relaxing night in. Logs provided and if you wish to purchase more they can be delivered to the cottage. The Wee House on the Hill is a perfect retreat for a relaxing get away. Country walks straight from the door or a short stroll down into Wirksworth, an ancient market town steeped in history. The cottage is located in one of the oldest parts of Wirksworth, where miners cottages were randomly built around the hillside with a unique maze of paths and 'ginnels' (alleyways). Pubs, restaurants, cinema and shops are all close by. Our cottage has been lovingly restored and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Babington Cottage

Wirksworth is a small market town on the edge of The Derbyshire Peak District, an ideal location for walking, cycling and other outdoor pursuits. The cottage, originally a quarryman's dwelling, has been fully refurbished and is maintained to a high standard. The accommodation: double and single bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, shower room and TV lounge. Outside is a decked sitting area. Parking is in the courtyard of Babington House next door.

The Old Currier Shop

Spacious and bright cottage, with open fire for the winter months. Well equipped and comfortable for a short stay or a longer break. Off street parking on shared driveway. On a quiet side street but close to nearby independent shops, pubs, cinema and restaurants of Wirksworth. It is a great place to stay if you want a walking or cycling holiday or if you prefer a more leisurely break, taking in the stunning views of the Peak District.
