The Rockridge Cottage is a lovely stand alone backhouse in the most central location in the East Bay. Enjoy the peaceful backyard and privacy of your own home and be steps away from the world class restaurants and cafes of College Avenue. Located just three blocks away from the Rockridge BART Station, the Rockridge Cottage is only 25 minutes from Downtown San Francisco and just down the road from the UC Berkeley campus. Walk Score of 92. There is no need to have a car in this neighborhood.

Soak up the Serenity from a Swing Seat at Claremont Cottage

Linger over a coffee in the zen, vine-covered courtyard at this secluded cottage nestled in the back of a period property in Berkeley. Crisp white sheets, craftsman furniture, and painted wooden cladding make for a sophisticated yet rustic haven. The main room is cozy with a big skylight, comfortable queen bed, swivel chair, and desk and chair. There is a small kitchenette. Rock Roulade Cocoon

Your own space/ no shared rooms, easy access ground floor and convenient location. This unique place has a fresh style all its own. Formally a secret famous recording studio for pop-rock bands, it was known as “The Hearst”. World famous records by the Killers were made here, “Hot fuss” and “Sawdust”. The first room, (now bedroom) was the control room with recording equipment and the second room (now tub room) was where the musicians played. Welcome pets for a fee if $35/per pet -per night.

Berkeley Hills Maybeck Cottage

Built in 1925, Maybecks' “Cubby” is your private, rustic, 750 sq ft, carriage house located less than a mile from Cal. Homey and basic - the deck is great for lunch, dinner, or just hanging out. It's an easy walk down to the gourmet ghetto, Thursday Markets, buses and BART. Carport provided, a car is recommended (hey it's located in the hills.) Not baby proofed, minimal fencing - sorry, no pets, babies or toddlers. Smoke free, no butts about it. Sorry, no loud music, or large gatherings.
