Don’t miss out hiking one of the most popular trails in Great Smoky Mountains National Park because of the amazing views!
3.6 miles round trip - note that climbing to the very peak of the chimney top is now closed off.
The hike to the top leading to the stunning slate spires of the Chimney Tops is beautiful and clear why it is one of the most popular in the Great Smoky Park. It is a round trip hike of 3.8 miles and you can find parking located off Newfound Gap Road, approximately 6.8 miles south of the Sugarland Visitor Center. There is a Picnic Area about 2.5 miles north of the trailhead.
