This Hollywood hike is short but a great kick in the butt. At the top you see the Wisdom Tree, a single tree by itself. You get a great city view and can leave a note of wisdom. I like this one because it's close but not densely populated. Like you’d expect to see Russell Brand meditating under a tree, that type of situation. For some hikes in LA it can be a pain in the ass to find parking, but not this one!

The best view of all of Los Angeles on top of the Hollywood Hill overlooking the entire valley. The hike up is strenuous, but the view is worth it. You can usually find parking on Lake Hollywood Drive close to Wonder View Drive. Watch the signs, though, because there is no parking up in the neighborhood.

Head through the gate (always open during the day) at the end of Wonder View Drive. Shortly after the gate you'll come to an open area. The trail to Wisdom Tree is ahead and to the right. At the beginning of the trail you’ll see this trail sign from Griffith Park. We’ll be heading up to Burbank Peak. The official trail name is the Burbank Peak Trail, but it’s also known as the Wonder View Trail and the Wisdom Tree Trail. It is steep and rocky in some sections and takes about 90 minutes. It's .5 miles to the top.

You will never forget wisdom tree! Many people hike up and leave lovely little notes, memoirs, quotes and sayings for all the hikers! its not a easy hike. But its Insta-worthy you can't leave Los Angeles without a picture of the American Flag with the LA sky scrapers.
