This refreshing and very calm museum, just under Notre-Dame stunning cathedral, has incredible remains from the roman, the mediaeval and the haussmanian periods

In the crypt are cellars & foundations from many layers of Paris: Roman building with central heating, wall to keep the Franks out, medieval road that led to Notre Dame square, 19th-century sewer
