Standing at 170 metres tall, Spinnaker Tower is an iconic Portsmouth landmark. Home to one of the most spectacular views on the south coast, Spinnaker offers a 23 mile view over Portsmouth harbour, the Solent, South Downs and the Isle of Wight. Spinnaker Tower has a lift to take you to the top of the tower, with dining opportunities for high tea or a bite to eat at their waterfront café. At the top there is a section of 'glass walk' flooring 100 metres above sea level, and thrill seekers can book on to one of the Tower’s abseil experiences. Booking is definitely recommended for the abseiling experiences and dining, and general admission tickets are cheaper if booked in advance.

A great town to view the landmarks of Portsmouth and the Solent, and if you are feeling adventurous, you can abseil from the top!

Soaring 170 metres above Portsmouth Harbour and the Solent, the Spinnaker Tower is taller than the London Eye, Blackpool Tower and Big Ben. The three viewing decks differ: the first is a glass floored number so kids feel they're floating, the second houses the cafe and the third is open air: whoosh! This is one where you're certainly going to want a camera with you, preferably an undroppable one strapped to your hand or hung from your neck!
