For 35 years, Hendley Market has been a Galveston fixture, offering "oddities from around the world and throughout the ages," as they put it. No visit to The Strand is complete without a trek here.

This shop is tucked away on the far east side of the Strand- at 2010 Strand St but so worth the visit. They combine odd antiques with the most unusual gifts. Most the items are in the $5-$25 range and are not things you would find anywhere else. Its as if the owners are curating the shop with the most unique books, toys, imported fair trade items they can source. Always a delight to visit and if you need a gift for that hard to buy for quirky person in your life... this is the place!

Hendley Market is my favorite store on the Strand. It has a very eclectic selection of books, toys, antique jewelry, etc... If Cheryl is there tell her Amy O told you to come by!
