Kozenji Temple. The local temple dating back nearly 1200 years. With its 3 story Bell Tower, the buildings and gardens rival anything in Kyoto. Photographers come from all over Japan to take photos of the cherry blossoms in the spring.

Kozenji Temple - Spectacular temple in a beautiful location. A serene spot tucked in below the mountains, this temple has huge trees, streams (with carp), stone steps and statues, a pagoda and absolutely gorgeous cherry blossoms in April (NHK station a static camera here most years to broadcast the scene during their morning cherry-blossom round-up).

1200 year old temple with massive old 1000 year old trees, and ancient pagoda and temple and gate with demon guardians and rare luminous moss that only grow s here!
