The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion is an amazing building, and the largest stupa in the Western World. A Stupa is the most sacred monument in the Buddhist world. It is a symbolic representation of the fully Enlightened mind and the path to Enlightenment. As the sacred texts are the verbal expression of the Dharma, so the Stupa is its architectural expression.

An amazing structure, 15 minute drive from town . When finished it will be same size as Great Stupa of Gyantse in Tibet.

This is something that you may wish to explire, tucked away in the back of Myers Flat is The Great Stupa Buddhist Temple. If you don't have a car, you will need to organise transport as is not walking distance
