Go low tide and do some amazing rock pooling. Our kids love it but I am pretty sure I love it more.

Makorori is another nice beach 15 mins away and a good place to spend the day. Awesome for surfers of all abilities. Swimming is good there too. Also the best for walking along if tide isn’t low and high.

Large wide open beach. Great for families and swimming. Also lots of good surf and best spot for beginners

A lovely beach suitable for kids up the northern end with a gentle surf break. Play in rock pools at low tide or set your crayfish pots
