Riverside Park is a nice park by the Toe River with activities for kids.

Plenty of space and paved walkways for your fur baby to get fresh air and exercise (leash required). Riverside Park is located close to downtown Spruce Pine. There is a historic bridge that crosses the river and railroad tracks; connecting the park to shops of downtown Spruce Pine.
