The park of Villa Olmo is connected to the splendid ones of Villa del Grumello and Villa Sucota by a panoramic route, the so-called "Kilometer of knowledge", through the paths in their respective parks dotted with greenhouses, chapels, lemon houses, works of art and rarities botanicals. The route can be used on the opening days of Villa del Grumello and Villa Sucota. In 2006, after a few years of abandonment, the Villa del Grumello Association was established on the initiative of the Como Chamber of Commerce, which started the restoration of the Villa in order to give it a new place in the cultural life of the city, as a venue for cultural initiatives , entrepreneurial, scientific and training. In the following years, as part of a broader project to enhance the area, the Association started the recovery of the other structures of the complex and the redevelopment of the park.

The seventeenth-century Villa del Grumello overlooks the first basin of Lake Como, a few steps from the city center and is set in a centuries-old park of great naturalistic value and unique landscape. A short distance from the city center of Como and reachable on foot in a few minutes. The refinement of its rooms and the enchanting view make it historically one of the privileged residences on the banks of the Lario of well-known families - the Odescalchi, then the Giovio and from the second half of the 19th century the Celesia - who hosted illustrious personalities including Vincenzo Monti, Alessandro Volta and Ugo Foscolo. The historic garden that frames them, spread over 4 hectares, the heart of the Kilometer of Knowledge, urban park and functional cultural infrastructure, which unites Grumello with Villa Olmo and Villa Sucota. The Grumello Romantic Park is embellished with blooms in every season - including a rich collection of rare hydrangeas - and dotted with valuable secular trees such as camphor, olee fragrans, sequoias and a specimen of Ginkgo biloba, next to which it has recently been born the garden dedicated to Pliny the Elder.

bellissimo percorso che collega villa Olmo con villa del Grumello, sentieri nel verde con vista sula lago e la città di Como!

Villa del XVIII secolo, luogo per eventi . Edificata in seguito a più interventi successivi nel XVIII secolo, se ne hanno però notizie già dal XV secolo. Arricchita da un parco e da scuderie, la villa accolse nei secoli importanti personalità come Alessandro Volta e Ugo Foscolo. . Protagonista di alterne vicende e destinazioni, negli anni 2000 è stata sottoposta a una profonda opera di restauro che le ha restituito il fasto originario, regalando alla cittadinanza anche la riqualificazione delle serre e delle scuderie, ora votate alla destinazione di spazi di formazione e laboratori didattici. .
