One of the nearest cafés located to the flat, The Early Bird, with an in-house bakery, opened in 2019, and has gone from strength to strength - earning a score of 4.5 on TripAdvisor, adding an outdoor seating area, opening a second outlet in the city centre, and winning the title of best café in Devon in the Muddy Stilettos' awards in 2021.
