The Canal Street/Algiers Ferry is a cool way to see the city from a river vantage. After you cross the river, make sure and check out Old Algiers, a very-cool old NOLA 'hood. Best of all, it's free!

You can take the ferry from Canal St across the river, then right back in 15 mins. Great alternate view of the city from the river. You can check out historic Algiers Point and even grab a brew at Old Point Bar.

$2. Fee that is an amazing view. This great boat takes you to the foot of Canal St. Convention Center, French Quarter, street cars, bus lines, tours, shopping, casino, Central Business.

Great way to get a glimpse of he Mississippi River and its commerce. Ride over to the West Bank (Algiers), and then return.
