Wivenhoe Dam is marvelous! It is an interesting place to visit. Stop and go to the lookout on the side of the dam wall. When you drive over the dam the sky, rocky outcrops and water is teeming with birdlife. There are turtles in the waters below the dam wall, that can be seen from the viewing platform. There is also a large park with a playground, toilets and a cafe at Cormorant Bay. Great for family picnics!
