Fort Clatsop is a great place for all visitors. My favorite part about this park are the trails. They are very well maintained! If you're a runner or hiker, this is a good place to check out. For a short hike, do the 3-4 mile loop that goes from the fort up to the Lower South Slough and then connects with the Netul River Trail..

Now a national park, this was the winter encampment for the Lewis & Clark Corps of Discovery. It’s open every day except Christmas. Costumed interpretation and wonderful walking trails.
