10m from the appartement. Even if you don’t want to visit the aquarium, go there, grabs the elevator to the last floor (watch for the turtles when you get in the elevator) and enjoy a drink on their rooftop overseing of the Harbour. At the back of the bar, there is a large aquarium you can oversee that holds up some decent sharks! (For free)

Well worth a visit, especially with younger children. You can easily spend 2 hours in the aquarium. Buses heading to La Rochelle run very regularly from La Flotte.
