This treasured landmark on The Magnificent Mile has been transformed into a free art gallery for rotating exhibits featuring local photographers and artists. Constructed between 1867 and 1869, the Water Tower was one of the few buildings to survive the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. 806 N. Michigan Ave.

This place is in my work neighborhood so I'm bias, but it has great burgers, great buffet and a charming and cozy place to have incredible coffee while having a place to work and hang for as long as you like.

If you're working while you're here, this is a great place to "squat" and work from all day. Juice, coffee, hot food bar, mini golf, it's awesome!
