The famous Mindil Beach Sunset Market operates throughout Darwin's Dry Season; reopening each year in late April, traditionally on the last Thursday in April and finishes on the last Thursday of October. The Market is located less than 3km from Darwin City Centre. Nestled between Mindil Beach Casino and the Botanical Gardens, its an easy walk or hop on bus 4 or 6. Taxis from the city cost about $10 and free parking is available via Gilruth Avenue. The Market is open on every Thursday and Sunday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm.
