The Pantokratoras Gate, better known as Hanioporta, is located at one of the most central points of Heraklion and was the exit to western Crete. From a single space inside the gate, there are two arched arcades with different entrances, one leading to the west and the other (a military arcade) to the southern low square of the bastion of Pantokrator.
