What started out as a mental hospital and farmland many years ago, has now become a local recreation area known by the local area. It has miles of trails to walk, broken down buildings to explore, unique stories to unveil and is a great place to take fun photos!

Northern State Recreation Area is a fantastic place to explore some of our local history, play frisbee golf, or just get in some fun exercise on their walking paths.
