The capital building! A gold dome, beautiful landscaping, and there might be something fun going on.

Montpelier has the smallest population of state capital in the US. The charming gold-domed capitol building is historic, and one of the most beautifully sited capitols in the US. Tours are available.

“I highly recommend their basic burger. And if they have the pastrami sandwich which they smoke out back GET IT. They do run out of sandwiches. They also have a huge selection local brews.”

“Dogs off leash ok (with some rules). The park features approximately 7 miles of hiking trails, a soccer and ball field, picnic areas, seven fireplaces, two sheltered pavilions, and a historic 54-foot high observation tower that was built between 1915-1930.”
