Acquapazza Introduction Attention all lovers of Italian cuisine. We may have uncovered something a little bit special for you, if you are in or around the Thappraya Road area of Pattaya. In fact it may actually be worth making the effort to travel across town if you have to. The owner, Giovanni, comes from Napoli and specialises in his own creations using Italian gourmet knowledge and local seafood, to deliver a stunning taste of both Thailand and Italy. The restaurant opened in 2016 and employs nine members of staff, who have been trained in various topics such as food preparation and hygiene. They are well presented in their company uniforms and will welcome you with a friendly smile and ensure you visit is a pleasant one. The Venue From the outside, you will recognise the premises easily by its large white letters featuring the company name, above the doorway and outside seating area. There is some greenery in the form of small hedgerows before you enter the building. Inside you are presented with an elegant setting featuring white tables, draped with stylish table cloths. The decor is for the most part white, broken up by pillars, which support the upper building and colourful paintings on the walls. There is a glass cabinet, hosting cold desserts and wine racks with a fantastic range of red and whites for your pleasure. The restaurant can seat around 40 guests at any given time, making it ideal for a family gathering, business meal or a romantic dinner for two. It is of course fully air conditioned across two floors with outside seating being an option. The Menu The bill of fare should provide something for everyone's taste with the emphasis being on a taste of Italian delicacies. The food is beautifully presented by the chefs, almost like a work of art on a plate. Obviously great skill and attention to detail are in evidence here. Customers can select from appetisers such as a platter of mixed seafood, designed for sharing amongst a group of diners. Deep fried squid and shrimps served in a bearnaise sauce or how about an Alaskan smoked salmon and salad? Parma ham and various cold cuts are just some of the other options available. For those who wish something cold, try one of their salads, such as rocket, Caesar or mixed salad. Soups include a delicious lobster delicacy in a Neapolitan style. You cannot visit an Italian eating house and not have pastas and of course they are present on Acquapazza's menu. Select from spaghetti with clams or bolognese style. Try a spicy penne amatriciana with bacon and tomato sauce. Spinach ravioli is another speciality available in this section. Meat lovers can enjoy a succulent rib eye steak or grilled skewered pork. Chicken stuffed with cheese or baked lamb shank can also be ordered. Pizzas prepared and cooked in their own oven is another nice touch here.
