This is a walk and a challenge for the fit and energetic, worth the effort for the views of all the counties that surround it. Only a 10 min drive from your stay. There are different levels and walks around it. Highly recommended for the adventurist.

Distinctive local hill with a gap it in - legend says the devil took a bite out of the hill here and spat it out at Cashel, on which stands the Rock of Cashel. There's a nice 5km loop walk, with 200m ascent, through forest and hillside paths. The loop does not include the summit, so add on the 10min short spur to the cross at the top for extensive views across Tipperary - including the mountains of Slievenamon, the Galtees and the Knockmeealdowns to the South, and Lough (lake) Derg to the West. Directions: search Google Maps for "Devil's Bit Car Park" Only 15 mins drive from Bluebell Cottage.
