The yard in front of the mosque is kind of an oasis of silence, if you wanna have some intense moments with yourself go there afternoon, watch those ferries crossing the bosphorus and feel lighter.

Beautiful old mosque...looks like a wedding cake situated on a hill overlooking the Bosphorus. Park benches provide a peaceful spot to read the book and look out over this magnificent city.

Cihangir Mosque is a very measured work with its planning and decorations. The pencil works inside preserve the characteristics of the period to a large extent. In addition, between 1285-1307 (1868-1890) Mustafa İzzet, Hafiz Ahmed Sünbülî, Sami, Râkım, Hasan Rızâ, Sabri, Şefik, Muhammed Fehmi, Muhammed Nazif, Nazif, Arif, Mehmed Tahir, Seyyid Ali, Alaeddin, Hasenî Thirty-nine plates written by calligraphers such as , Cerî, Mısrîzâde Ali Rızâ Üsküdarî and Şevki add a distinctive feature to the interior of the mosque.
