This is the greatest thing that ever happen to Mountain Rest! You can live an OK life just going to the DG! They have everything you need, beer, cokes, marshmallows, food, firewood, toiletries, you need it, they likely got it.

This is only about 1 mile away (take a left as you return to Hwy 28 (Highlands Highway) and is great for lots of supplies needed quickly. (We even got painter's tape there!) It has just about everything since it's near Oconee State Park!
