Food and Punting - good for both (particularly if you want a shorter punt to the Victoria Arms)
... worth doing as messing about in boats...plus restaurant in case you can't get to the Victoria Arms pub!
A FAMILY TRADITION The restaurant was started in an authentic Victorian working Boathouse, alongside the punt station (established in 1904) on the banks of the river Cherwell by Anthony Verdin, a local entrepreneur and connoisseur of fine wine and food. It is still family owned and run today by John…
From here, you can punt a long way, and moor at the Victoria ('Vicky') Arms to have lunch. The restaurant at the Cherwell Boathouse is excellent.
Punting is a great Oxford tradition, I'd recommend taking a picnic and a bottle of fizz and heading past University parks as it's more picturesque.
A long established family restaurant serving excellent food and wine in an idyllic location. You can also hire a punt from there and punt along the River Cherwell.
A great spot for punting. Quiet, relaxing and surrounded by beautiful scenery.
