Drive, bike or golf cart to the end of folly on the east side of the island. Then take the walking path out to the lighthouse for some epic views of the ocean and Charleston.

Only about 2 miles from your Studio. Park and walk about 1/4 mile to view. The walk from the beach area to the river side of the island is a must see.

Although it has been out of use for decades, a local organization savethelight.org has been raising funds to restore the Morris Island Lighthouse to all of its former glory. Head to the very East end of the island. Park in designated areas. Enjoy a brief nature walk (partially paved) learning about local wildlife on posted signage that results in crashing waves and a view of the now-tiny island where the lighthouse stands. Bring your camera, but no swimming please due to the unruly current.
