Skiing 365 days a year. The setting for Kubrick's The Shining. Beautiful, old growth-constructed lodge with plenty of memorabilia, free (wonderful!) tours, and a multiple-story fireplace worthy of sipping something warm next to while you watch the snow fall. Great kickoff point for hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, etc.
