A little further from Pals, another great beach with more shallow parts for kids.

Quieter and smaller cove just behind Palamos. It's walkable when it isn't too hot, but there is a big hill! Both beach bars have reasonable food and drinks.

La fosca Surrounding the coast to the east in the direction of Calella de Palafrugell we can enjoy the coastal path that leaves the Gran de Palamós beach. We climb to the Pedró and cross the Marina Marina and Margarita cove we reach the beach of La Fosca, facing southeast and characterized by its black rock that divides the beach in two halves. If we continue along the roundabout path we find the Sant Esteve de Mar Castle, a history of the origins of Palamós from the 12th-13th centuries. Further on, from the Gori pine forest, we can see the picturesque houses of Cala S'Alguer, a Cultural Asset of National Interest, old fishermen's huts from the 15th century. Then we arrive at Platja de Castell, a natural space that has been isolated and has conserved, by popular will, the most crude cleanliness of the landscape. The Iberian settlement of Castell allows us to get closer to the archeological remains of the Iberian site (6th century BC until the 2nd century AD). And among the cliffs, the Foradada, pure Costa Brava that delves into its magic, crossing wonderful coves; Senià cove, Canyers cove with its fountain of the sea, Corbs cove and Estreta cove, until the end of Planes.
