A nice shopping area at Highway 1 and Rio Road. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, a great bakery, coffee shop, and Lula's chocolates (all hand made locally) - be sure to try their salted caramels.

Just south of the entry to Carmel Valley Road from Highway 1. Shopping center with an eclectic assortment of stores (including a Safeway) and a good Carmel Valley Coffee Roasting Co coffee shop.
