The monastic complex was built between 950 and 1000 by Benedictine monks and consists of a small center inside the rock from where three different chapels then develop, with different architectures and from various eras. Of great architectural importance, it contains medieval monastic remains from the Romanesque period and inside there are frescoes showing scenes of everyday life of a religious nature.
